Summary

In science news around the world this week, scientists in Germany have detected what they think is a new virus in cattle, scientists say there's nothing new in the 5000 new e-mails hackers have released from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, NASA's Mars Science Laboratory has been successfully launched, and a study of a vaginal gel laced with an anti-HIV drug has failed to show any benefit.
