Protein Interaction Assay

The FleX-IP immunoprecipitation kit is designed for the detection of protein interactions by co-immunoprecipitation. Formulated to enable highly efficient antigen immunoprecipitation, the kit enables immunoprecipitation using less than 10 μg of antibody and is compatible for use with mouse, rabbit, goat, and human antibodies. Typical applications include the validation of protein interactions by co-immunoprecipitation and the immunoprecipitation of proteins from cells and cell-free reactions. Designed as a complete solution for immunoprecipitation experiments, the FleX-IP kit includes protein A/G agarose, control mouse IgG, lysis/wash buffer, stock NaCl solution, and SDS-PAGE buffer as well as spin columns and collection tubes. Each kit contains sufficient materials for 40 IP reactions and is optimally suited to confirm protein-protein interactions found in DUALhybrid, DUALmembrane, and DUALhunter screens. FleX-IP immunoprecipitations are performed using common IP procedures.

Affinity Chromatography Medium

Capto Blue affinity chromatography medium is for the capture of human serum albumin (HSA) as well as purification of HSA fusion proteins, blood coagulation factors, enzymes, and recombinant proteins at laboratory and process scales. Developed from Blue Sepharose 6 Fast Flow, Capto Blue medium is more chemically stable and has a more rigid agarose base matrix than its predecessor. These improvements allow faster flow rates and larger sample volumes, leading to higher throughput and improved process economy. Depending on the target molecule, the ligand functionality of Capto Blue may be modified through the use of appropriate buffer salts and buffer conductivity to increase selectivity for desired targets. Capto Blue medium's excellent chemical stability also ensures tolerance for sodium hydroxide, enabling repeated cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures to remove tightly bound impurities and maintain capacity.

Cell Lysis Kit

The new ProteaPrep Zwitterionic Cell Lysis Kit, Mass Spec Grade has been specially designed for the efficient recovery of purified protein lysates from biological samples. The ProteaPrep Zwitterionic Cell Lysis Reagent is a proprietary formulation containing a mixture of salts and nondenaturing detergents that have been optimized for efficient solubilization, extraction, and recovery of most proteins during cell lysis. The ProteaPrep Zwitterionic Cell Lysis Kit features our Progenta Zwitterionic Acid Labile Surfactant I (ZALS I), a powerful acid-cleavable detergent that alleviates the problems commonly associated with CHAPS, SDS, and other detergents in proteomics studies. After completing the cell lysis, the cell extract solution will not interfere with downstream sample preparation and analysis by techniques such as mass spectrometry, enzymatic digestions, 2D gel electrophoresis, and protein quantitation (e.g., Bradford and Lowry assays). The zwitterionic detergent helps to extract difficult to solubilize proteins found in cell membranes and organelles.

Nanoparticle Development Reagents

A new group of PEGylation Reagents is specifically for use in the development of gold or silver nanoparticles, self-assembled monolayers, quantum dots, and magnetic particles. The high purity polyethylene glycol (PEG) compounds of defined chain length help produce precise surface characteristics and minimize nonspecific interactions, which are important for these applications. Two varieties are available: Methyl- and Carboxy-thiol PEGylation Reagents and Methyl- and Carboxy-lipoamide PEGylation Reagents. The thiols form dative bonds when bound to gold surfaces. Monodentate thiols, such as Methyl- and Carboxy-thiol PEGylation Reagents, can be easily removed by compounds such as DTT. Bidentate thiols, such as Methyl- and Carboxy-lipoamide PEGylation Reagents, provide an added level of stability to the nanostructure and are much more resistant to removal from the metal surface by DTT or similar reagents.

Human Cell Reprogramming mRNA

New highly modified synthetic 5-prime capped mRNA products have been designed for reprogramming of human cells. These ready-to-use products provide a simple, safe non-integrating methodology for reprogramming cell fate based on the administration of synthetic modified mRNA that greatly increases efficiency while reducing the innate antiviral response of viral protocols. Clinical applications of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have traditionally been limited by the low efficiency of iPSC derivation and the fact that most protocols modify the genome to effect cellular reprogramming. Moreover, safe and effective means of directing the fate of patient-specific iPSCs toward clinically applicable cell types are not possible by viral methods. The ready-to-use, highly modified mRNAs include: Kfl4, c-Myc, Oct4, Sox2, LIN28 mRNA, and eGFP control, in customized formats for research.
