SPRIworks HT is a high throughput solution for fragment library preparation on Illumina next generation sequencers. The system allows researchers to process libraries with greater speed and sample reproducibility and decreases processing costs. SPRIworks HT utilizes built-in SPRI (solid phase reversible immobilization)-based per-well size selection. Up to 96 samples can be prepared in as little as three hours without size selection, or six hours with size selection. The simplicity of SPRIworks HT enables users to seamlessly perform automated sample preparation protocols upon their first interaction with the system. SPRIworks HT offers a reagent kit for library preparation that includes sizing solution and polymerase chain reaction reagents. Per-well size selection provides users with the flexibility to process samples for multiple applications in a single run. The overall system increases reproducibility, decreases processing costs, and eliminates most manual preparation steps in next generation sequencing sample prep.


Designed for demanding high-content assays and cell biology challenges, the new ArrayScan Infinity HCS Reader has 3-D imaging capability and features the latest in variable pin-hole confocal technology, solid-state LED illumination, and live-cell and label-free capabilities as well as best-in-class image analysis and bioinformatics software. The instrument's integrated confocal module features the latest high-speed Nipkow spinning disk technology and a variable pinhole to give finer control over image acquisition across a range of objectives (magnifications), compared to traditional confocal (fixed pin-hole) technology. The confocal module has a four-color LED Light Engine, bringing robust, laser-like performance without the complications and cost of lasers or the need for alignment of camera, confocal, and laser. The ArrayScan Infinity HCS Reader is also coupled with enhanced Thermo Scientific iDev Workflow software for multidimensional analysis. Multiple projection options for image analysis and the ability to save the stack of images to create 3-D movies enable complex 3-D structures to be imaged more clearly.


The Ultrajet pipette controller is an easy-to-use electronic pipette filler. Ergonomically designed, the Ultrajet is quick and simple to operate and can be used for extended periods of time without discomfort. Large buttons on the hand grip enable precise fine control of aspiration and dispensing of liquids. An integral LCD display shows the aspiration speed which can be simply set with a button under the display. A removable neoprene nozzle grips most standard laboratory pipettes firmly and efficiently allowing users to accurately transfer liquids into plates, vials, or flasks. Compact in size, the Ultrajet is perfect for use in confined spaces such as cabinets and fume hoods. Over filling protection is provided by a disposable 0.45 μm filter in the nose of the controller. Ultrajet uses a rechargeable lithium battery and comes complete with a self-adhesive bench holder for storage.


A collection of Tissue-Specific Tumor Cell Panels combine well-characterized adherent cell lines that were selected for their genomic mutations as found in the Sanger COSMIC database, greatly reducing the time and effort scientists devote to finding these cells. The cell lines are easy to grow using standard media formulations and possess critical genetic abnormalities found in tumors. Each Tissue-Specific Tumor Cell Panel comprises different cell lines that have been grouped by tissue of tumor origin. Descriptive information for each cell line has been annotated with details regarding known mutations in these selected oncogenes or receptors. Cell panels, as research models, are as valuable as the depth of understanding and data supporting them. There are currently 10 Tissue-Specific Tumor Cell Panels in the collection, including panels for breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, and pancreatic cancer.


A new line of viscosity baths are designed to accommodate specific testing and quality control needs, including ASTM D-445. Configured for use with most popular capillary viscometers, these versatile circulating baths feature working temperatures up to 135° temperature stabilities to ±1° and a choice of glass or polycarbonate reservoir. Four different controller types—from an innovative touchscreen model with time/temperature programming capability to an extremely affordable digital temperature controller—are available. All models include a tap-water cooling coil. The Polycarbonate Viscosity Baths feature a 29 L rectangular reservoir with a working depth of 11.25 inches (28.6 cm), square or round viscometer openings, and can be equipped with the Advanced Programmable, Advanced Digital, or Standard Digital Temperature Controller. PolyScience Glass Viscosity Baths are available with either 17 or 27 L round reservoirs and are equipped with the MX Temperature Controller.
