Summary

Outraged over what they see as an illegal invasion of privacy, researchers at the U.S. National Institutes of Health and NASA have joined a lawsuit to block a provision in the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (Stock) Act, a law enacted in April that will require federal agencies to post online financial reports for high-level government employees. The rule violates employees' rights, they say, and may drive some scientists to leave the government.
