The importance of food safety and security in today's global economy cannot be ignored. China has recognized that advances in agricultural science and technology are essential in order to continue to feed its growing population.

CAAS, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, is leading the effort to keep China ahead of the curve by growing itself into a top, world-class institution that can support the future needs of a developing nation. In this booklet, we look into some of the programs and institutes that CAAS oversees to gain some insight into how the future of agriculture in China might look.
