Summary

Steve Robinson, a former university biology professor turned secondary school science teacher turned education policy analyst, has spent his career trying to figure out what it takes to be a great teacher. Last month, at the age of 62, he left an influential position in the Obama administration to teach at a New York City charter school—and to find some answers.
