Summary

With $25 million from the U.S. National Institutes of Health, a new project calling itself ClinGen aims to catalog medically relevant human gene variants. Grants to three research teams will build on an existing NIH database called ClinVar and fund the collection, annotation, and release of genetic and medical records that have been scrubbed to remove personal information.
