Summary

A prominent and diverse group of researchers, funders, and advocates gathered for 3 days in San Francisco for a conference that had a most provocative title: "What Will it Take to Achieve an AIDS-free World?" The meeting both affirmed the value of this aspiration and that science has delivered the necessary tools, but many practical, financial, and social obstacles stand in the way.
