COVER Proteins inside the chloroplast of a plant cell, including the supercomplex of photosystem I and light-harvesting complex I, work together to turn light into chemical energy. A high-resolution crystal structure by Qin et al. reveals the positions of chlorophylls a and b (shown in the foreground as circular and hexagonal disks, respectively) and carotenoids (shown in orange).
