Summary

We often need different scientific fields to work together to make sense of the world.  But for multidisciplinary approaches to work, a common ground first needs to exist between fields. Historian Peter Watson's new book, Convergence, sheds light on what can be gained when research areas come together, chronicling a series of major scientific milestones that span the past two centuries.
