  • RE: Research on a razor's edge

We need you to fight for your rights as a scientist by speaking up as you have done here. I moved here for the science and did not expect such a Neanderthal view of science by the current administration. We have to educate the administrators, lawmakers and citizens alike to band together and come up with a progressive outlook. It is because of the the policies of people before us that the United States has such a privileged position in the world. The current administration is very shortsighted and inexperienced, however, we cannot sit by and let them dictate terms to us. We have to be proactive and continue to educate everyone around us. Good luck with your research and I still hope that the current administration will realize its mistakes and will have the humility to accept them and move forward. If not it is our duty to ensure we elect people who are better educated and can move the country forward, research and all.
    Take care.
