CE Instrument

Promega's Spectrum Compact capillary electrophoresis (CE) instrument brings high-performance DNA analysis to the benchtop. The Spectrum Compact CE System meets small-batch and single-sample needs in DNA analysis, and performs both sequencing and fragment analysis at a moment's notice. It allows laboratories of all sizes the freedom to analyze single-nucleotide polymorphisms, PCR fragment sizes, and microsatellites, and to perform de novo sequencing, NGS validation, and mutation detection. This benchtop CE instrument runs up to 32 samples at once and features 4-capillary, 6-dye detection along with an integrated touchscreen for instrument operation. Plug-and-play prefilled reagent cartridges with a guided software user interface deliver CE capabilities to any scientist in the laboratory regardless of skill level or expertise.

Primary Cell Transfection Kits

Combining user-friendly NanoAssemblr microfluidics systems with groundbreaking nanoparticle technology, Precision NanoSystems has developed the Neuro9, Astro9, and iNeuro9 nonviral gene transfection kits to allow rapid, easy knockdown or expression of genes in primary cells, both in vitro and in vivo. Our innovative kits are optimized for nonviral delivery of short interfering RNA, messenger RNA, or plasmid DNA into various neural cell types, such as neurons, astrocytes, and induced pluripotent stem cell–derived neurons. They offer transfection efficiencies of up to 95% with no observed toxicity by taking advantage of an endogenous pathway to deliver the nucleic acid payload. This proven system ensures rapid, high-quality, reproducible results with minimal user training, and has already become widely established in the drug formulation field.

Human tRNA PCR Array

nrStar Human tRNA Repertoire PCR Array is the first tRNA-related PCR array on the market. It contains optimized SYBR Green quantitative PCR assays for 66 PCR-distinguishable nuclear tRNA isodecoders and all mitochondrial tRNA species. The panel covers all anticodons provided by the GtRNAdb and tRNAdb databases, making it a powerful tool for analyzing the profile of tRNA repertoire. Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are ubiquitous, and are the most abundant of all small noncoding RNA molecules. They serve as the physical link between the messenger RNA coding and protein sequences. A wide variety of biological processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, are always accompanied with variations of tRNA levels. Alterations of tRNA repertoire affect cell-fate choices during cell development. Dysregulated tRNA repertoire can promote tumorigenesis and cancer progression. Additionally, various diseases show disruptions to the levels and distributions of tRNAs, such as type 2 diabetes, Huntington's disease, and HIV infection.

DNA and RNA Cleanup Kits

QIAGEN's DNeasy and RNeasy PowerClean Pro Cleanup Kits are designed to remove proteins, primers, deoxynucleotides, and salts typically left over after some kind of enzymatic reaction; for example, PCR amplification or a restriction digest. Both QIAquick PCR Purification Kit and QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit are silica spin column–based kits. Consequently, they both have a DNA binding capacity of 10 μg per prep, and will both work with DNA up to 10 kilobases. Only kits containing Inhibitor Removal Technology, such as the DNeasy and RNeasy PowerClean Pro Cleanup Kits, will remove environmental contaminants. Our original DNeasy PowerClean Cleanup Kit is recommended for removal of inhibitors found in crude heparin and heparin products. The MagAttract PowerClean DNA Kit is a high-throughput, hands-free version of the DNeasy PowerClean Pro Cleanup Kit. The UltraClean 96 PCR Cleanup Kit is a high-throughput option that is similar to the QIAquick PCR Purification Kit.

Cell-Free DNA Extraction Kit

BioChain's cfPure Cell-Free DNA Extraction Kit is designed for rapid, efficient purification of circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA). The system utilizes silica-coated paramagnetic particles to purify cfDNA from less than 1 mL to greater than 10 mL of serum or plasma. The buffers were developed to ensure efficient recovery of 100 bp–500 bp DNA fragments in order to maximize recovery of cfDNA. The recovered DNA is suitable for a wide range of downstream applications, such as bisulfite sequencing, next-generation sequencing, and quantitative PCR.

RNA HyperPrep Kits

KAPA RNA HyperPrep Kits with RiboErase enable the combination of enzymatic steps and fewer reaction purifications, resulting in a streamlined solution for the preparation of high-quality rRNA-depleted RNA-sequencing libraries. By utilizing a targeted enzymatic method for depletion, our workflow enables efficient reduction of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and a more complete representation of the transcriptome, including precursor messenger RNAs and noncoding RNA. The strand-specific workflow is flexible—supporting library construction from lower-input amounts and degraded samples. Kits contain all reagents required for rRNA depletion and library preparation, with the exception of KAPA Adapters (available separately). The kit features single-day library construction, inclusive of rRNA depletion; flexible input of 25 ng–1 µg total RNA from human, mouse, or rat species; higher success rates with lower input; degraded samples maintaining over 99% strand specificity; and KAPA Pure Beads included for reaction purifications.

Cloning Kit

Gibson Assembly Cloning allows for the insertion of one or more DNA fragments into virtually any location of any vector without the need for compatible restriction sites. In a single round of cloning, join multiple DNA fragments (1–15) to create seamless constructs without subcloning. With easy reaction setup and less than five minutes of hands-on time, go from DNA fragments to transformation-ready constructs in an hour or less. Gibson Assembly Cloning is faster than traditional cloning methods and achieves cloning efficiencies of up to 95%. Three kits are available: the Gibson Assembly HiFi 1-Step Kit, Gibson Assembly Ultra Kit, and Gibson Assembly Site-Directed Mutagenesis Kit.
