After publication of the Report “Aging and neurodegeneration are associated with increased mutations in single human neurons,” the authors discovered that two technical replicates were accidentally included as independent samples in the study. Specifically, sample 1465_PFC_19 was a technical replicate of 1465_MDA_8, and 1465_PFC_20 was a technical replicate of 1465_MDA_43. As a result, the data set consists of 159 cells, not 161. After reanalysis of the data set excluding the technical replicates, we found that P values in the main text were identical (to the significant digits shown) in 20 cases; in the remaining three cases, they were changed from 9 × 10−12 to 1 × 10−11, 0.023 to 0.022, and 0.03 to 0.04. Changes to data presented in the supplementary materials were also rare and minor. Sample numbers and P values have been updated in the main and supplemental text, figures, and tables. No conclusions were affected.
