  • Data sharing repositories including Vivli should be easily accessible

Jocelyn Kaiser introduced a new portal for patient data, Vivli (1). In order to accelerate the biomedical research, the database without privacy information should be freely available and easily accessible via online. In order to obtain the target data sets through Vivli database, creating a new account, searching for target data sets, and then requesting data sets are required. The current procedure of Vivli is cumbersome. There are several open databases via online including UC Irvine Machine Learning Repository (2). NIH has listed extensive Data Sharing Repositories (3).
Service providers including Vivli should give us an easy access to data sets after shared user identification. Otherwise, you should create your new account per data sharing repository.
