The 1,000th shipment of radioactive isotopes from the Clinton Laboratories, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, being delivered on July 9 to Kenneth M. Endicott, chief of the Hematology Unit, Pathology Laboratory, National Institute of Health, U. S. Public Health Service, by Capt. Desmond Shipley, pilot of the American Airlines Flagship which carried the radiophosphorus from Knoxville to Washington, D. C. Mildred Atwood represented Science on this occasion.
