About The Cover

Autoradiographs reveal the pattern of protein synthesis in section of 12 day-old chick lenses labeled with C14 leucine. Labeling with precursors of proteins and polynucleotides aids in elucidating molecular events in the lens during differentiation. (Auto-radiograph negative: the average lenth of the long axis of the lens is 1.6 millimeters.) see page 71. [R. Reedar and E. Bell, Massachusetts Institute of Technology]
