About The Cover

Large ground finch (Geospiza magnirostris) on Isla Pinta, Galápagos. A study of banded individuals of another population of Darwin's finches, Geospiza fortis on Isla Daphne Major, has demonstrated natural selection; large birds with large bills survived better than small birds with small bills during a drought when food was scarce.
