The 219th meeting of the American Chemical Society drew nearly 20,000 chemists, physicists, biologists, and engineers from around the globe from 26 to 30 March. Among the meeting's home runs were reports of novel organic molecules that give old plastics new life and a new alternative to DNA chips.
