SINGAPORE-- Singapore is betting that a $2 billion initiative will create the talent pool and business climate needed for a world-class biomedical enterprise. The city-state will need to attract enough rank-and-file life science researchers to achieve a critical mass, and then it will need to keep them long enough to have an impact. But the gamble has already started to pay off.
