DARULAMAN-- Years spent on the front line of a civil war have made a shambles of Afghanistan's once-incomparable National Museum. During a recent interview with Science, Omar Khan Masudi, the museum's new director, spoke of its trials and his attempts to glean international support to rebuild the museum, rescue endangered objects, and educate his staff.
