COVER A crescent Jupiter and its moon Io, imaged by the Cassini spacecraft on 15 January 2001 from a distance of 18.3 million km. During the flyby, Cassini acquired many images, including movie sequences, which yielded new details on Jupiter's atmosphere, auroras, moons, and rings, as described on page 1541. [Image: C. C.
