RAVENNA, ITALY-- Yousef Madjidzadeh, chief of excavations at Jiroft in southeastern Iran, has found tablets that he believes display a hitherto unknown writing system. But the circumstances surrounding their excavation have raised doubts about the tablets' authenticity.
