As our understanding of cancer has gone from simplistic to complex, so too has research on treatment and detection. In a field once dominated by scientists with biomedical backgrounds, cancer research today includes engineers, chemists, and physicists. To land a job in any emerging area of cancer research, interdisciplinary training is becoming increasingly important. Luckily for job seekers, educational institutions are rising to meet the need.
