COVER A photo-illustration shows the Philae probe drifting toward comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko after the Rosetta orbiter released it on 12 November. A landing mishap limited the scientific harvest from Philae, but Rosetta is giving researchers their first close-up view of a comet as the sun warms and reshapes it.
