Reagent Reservoirs

Unlike traditional reagent reservoirs, INTEGRA's multichannel reservoirs feature reusable bases, an environmentally friendly design that allows users to save money as they replace only the disposable inserts. Reagent reservoirs are used by many laboratories for temporary storage of reagent during pipetting applications. However, many reservoirs have flimsy troughs, hard-to-read graduations, or require a lot of storage space due to bulky packaging. The INTEGRA range of reagent reservoirs has been designed to nest inside each other, making it possible to fit twice as many in half the space required by traditional models, reducing both inventory space requirements and shipping costs. The reservoirs are made of clear polystyrene and fit into a reusable base with bold graduation markings. Each corner of the reservoir inserts has convenient pour-back spouts that allow quick, easy return of excess fluid to a source container—if your protocol allows it. 

Automated Workstations

Biomek i-Series Automated Workstations have been designed to optimize dependability and walkaway time in mid- to high-throughput labs. Notable features include an exterior status light bar that simplifies the ability to monitor progress and system status during operation; a light curtain that provides a key safety feature during operation and method development; an internal LED light that improves visibility during manual intervention and method startup; an offset, rotating gripper that optimizes access to high-density decks, leading to more efficient workflows; and a large-volume, 1-mL multichannel pipetting head that streamlines sample transfers and enables more efficient mixing steps. Its spacious, open-platform design offers access from all sides, making it easy to integrate adjacent-to-deck and off-deck processing elements (e.g., analytical devices, external storage/incubation units, and labware feeders). Built-in tower cameras also allow live broadcasting and on-error video capture to expedite response time if intervention is needed. Biomek i-Series Automated Workstations are available in two deck sizes and various pipetting configurations.

Centrifugal Evaporator

Genevac's EZ-2 centrifugal evaporator uniquely combines high performance, versatility, ease-of-use, and affordability, making it the perfect workhorse system for environmental laboratories. The EZ-2 is designed to efficiently concentrate or completely dry samples. It is compatible with a wide selection of sample holders, enabling evaporation from common sample-container formats, including round-bottom flasks, tubes, vials, and microplates. Its operation is highly intuitive: Just load your samples, select the maximum safe temperature for samples, select solvent type, and hit start. Offering unattended operation through a suite of preprogrammed methods, the compact evaporator requires no user training—even a beginner can competently run the system within 5 minutes.

Bioprocess Controller

No matter if you are in an academic, government, or industrial research setting, or working with bacteria, yeast, fungi, mammalian, insect, or plant cells, the BioFlo 120 bench-scale bioreactor/fermentor system is an attractive solution that meets your needs. Twenty-four interchangeable, heat-blanketed and water jacketed autoclavable vessels are available, along with BioBLU Single Use Vessels ranging from 250-mL to 40-L working volume. Digital Mettler Toledo ISM (Intelligent Sensor Management) sensor technology is fully integrated, allowing the user to choose between pH, redox, dissolved oxygen (polarographic and/or optical), and CO2 measurements without the need for additional equipment. A high-precision, expanded-range thermal mass flow controller is also available, which can provide low-flow mammalian cell culture through high-demand microbial processes on a single controller. An Auto Culture mode enables process control for microbial and cell culture applications at the touch of a button.

Verification Thermometers

Factory-calibrated instruments eliminate the need for expensive, time-consuming custom calibration. H-B Instrument–SP Scienceware now stocks electronic verification thermometers calibrated specifically for freezers, refrigerators, and incubators. Rather than purchasing a thermometer calibrated at general points and sending it in for custom calibration, customers can now order the temperature range and calibration points specific to these common applications right off the shelf. Equipped with liquid- or glass-bead-filled bottles that mimic the sample, these thermometers deliver temperature verification without the risk of sample contamination. Multiple models are available with features including dual zone, single, or multiple displays, alarms, and more.

Positive Displacement Pipette 

The award-winning MICROMAN E positive displacement pipette, along with capillary pistons, offers the highest precision when pipetting problem liquids such as oils, cosmetics, blood, glycerol, radioactive samples, RNA, DNA, and more. Working like a syringe, capillary pistons eliminate the air cushion between the sample and the disposable piston, providing 100% protection against pipette contamination and producing accurate, reproducible, and precise results every time. MICROMAN E has received a Red Dot Product Design Award.  It improves comfort and ease-of-use with a newly shaped handle, fully visible volumeter on the front of the body, and a large push button.
