    To the editor:
Yellow Fever disease and possible restrictions on the population
The important article by Barrett [The reemergence of yellow fever, Science] (1), It makes a timely review of the impact of this disease on society, its resurgence, and its dissemination on urban areas.
This disease is caused by the yellow fever virus and is primarily spread by the infected female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Its medium-term impact will depend on its efficiency as a vector to extend beyond tropical and subtropical regions. One of possible solutions, is to minimize the impact of an outbreak, predicting it before it occurs, and isolating the Patient–Zero. This will imply the use (or compulsory) among the population, of electronic micro-devices that identify those individuals.

    Sincerely yours,
    Carlos Polanco, Ph.D., D.Sc.
