    Human chronic disease outbreak owes its origin to consumption of brown rice and barley, which were the staple diet of the ancient people, whereas white rice and wheat white flour are now consumed as staple foods of modern people (1), but white rice (wheat flour) + barley grass powder is the most health major dietary guidelines for modern humans. Zeng’s review point out that major mechanism and more than 30 functional ingredients in barley grass exert potent preventive exceed 20 chronic diseases (2). Barley grass powder of Yungong brand can prevent more than 20 chronic diseases, it’s the growth stage and drying process under sun light at 1900-2300 m; Yunnan province at 1900-2300 m can plant barley in the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) may be associated with the rich and complex enzyme system in barley grass (2). These data are supported that barley grass powder is rich in GABA, flavonoids, SOD, K-Ca,vitamins and tryptophan, which is known to play a pivotal role in many chronic diseases. The anthocyanins and polyphenols in blueberry are major functional ingredients for preventive 15 chronic diseases (3). We can suggest that chronic diseases of human beings are associated with six major dietary structures: I-fruit/vegetables, II-young grass/barley grass, III-carnivorous, IV-cereals crop (rice, wheat, millet, beans, barley and corn), V-polished rice or wheat flour, VI-white rice or wheat flour + grass powder.     I consider the statement “…… has major effects on human health and resistance to rampant diseases associated with aging, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes”, a generic phrase to be specified, in the light of recent progress of Medicine.
    For instance, there is a general agreement among the Authors that obesity is a important risk factor of breast and ovarian cancer, as well as T2DM.
    In my 63-year-long, well-established, clinical experience, Quantum Biophysical Semeiotics proved to be reliable and useful tool also in both early bedside detecting and monitoring breast and ovarian cancer, since its first stage, i.e., Oncological Terrain-Dependent, Inherited Real Risk (IRR), mainly overlooked by physicians around the world (1-4)

  • What is the best living scheme for achieving high quality life?

    L. Bryan Ray introduced a special issue on optimizing the diet (1). Intermittent fasting (IF) improves cardiometabolic health (2). Intermittent fasting induces long-lasting Gut health and TOR-independent lifespan extension (3). Before scientifically discovering effects of intermittent fasting, we knew that fasting is often done for religious or spiritual reasons, including in Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism (4). Increasingly scientific investigations suggest that Buddhist meditators are happier, have improved cognitive abilities and that meditation practice leads to measurable changes in brain activity (5). As a secular practice supported by scientific evidence, mindfulness is now accepted as a valid medical and therapeutic method that has been broadly incorporated into workplace and school wellness programs (6). We would like to know what is the best living scheme for achieving high quality life instead of longer lifespan.
