Summary

A recently discovered tarantula has bright blue legs and represents a new genus and species. However, three European collectors poached the spider from the forests of Malaysia, becoming part of a growing trend of illegal trade in tarantulas. What's more, the scientists who studied it may have broken laws when they turned a blind eye to the legality of the specimens they received from the collectors.
