Cell-Free DNA Isolation Kit

Surpassing industry standards for yield and purity of cell-free DNA (cfDNA), Apostle MiniMax from Beckman Coulter is a magnetic nanoparticle–based kit that extracts cfDNA from plasma using manual or automated workflows. Due to limited cfDNA concentration, sufficient yield for NGS or other downstream applications can require higher volumes of plasma. As the volume increases, issues such as recovery efficiency and workflow complexity often arise. Plasma contains a host of contaminants that are problematic at this scale and can reduce assay sensitivity. Apostle MiniMax technology performs reliably across a range of volume inputs, consistently recovering high quantities of cfDNA while effectively removing contaminants.

Targeted Sequencing System

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) introduces its unique, rhAmpSeq targeted sequencing system— providing researchers with highly accurate, cost-effective, and easy-to-use amplicon sequencing on Illumina NGS platforms. The system has wide-ranging applications, including human disease research and sample tracking and analysis, CRISPR genome editing analysis, and agricultural biotechnology. The technology employs a unique ribonuclease H2/DNA polymerase two-enzyme system coupled with RNA/DNA hybrid primers that increase the specificity of PCR amplification while minimizing primer-dimer formation—a real challenge for other amplicon-based chemistries and the biggest limitation of PCR multiplexing. The rhAmpSeq system enables high multiplexing levels—minimizing the number of reagents needed and lowering costs. A streamlined, easy workflow saves time, generating NGS-ready amplicon libraries in just two simple PCR steps. IDT has optimized the rhAmpSeq system for consistent performance across panel sizes from tens to thousands of amplicons in a single multiplex reaction, and the system can be used with either a regular or high-throughput protocol to match individual needs.

Digital Spatial Profiler

GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler is a novel platform developed by NanoString. Digital spatial profiling is based on the nCounter barcoding technology, which enables spatially resolved, digital characterization of proteins or messenger RNA in a highly multiplexed (up to 1,000-plex) assay. The assay relies upon antibody or RNA probes coupled to photocleavable oligonucleotide tags. After hybridization of probes to slide-mounted formalin fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections, the oligonucleotide tags are released from discrete regions of the tissue via UV exposure. Released tags are quantitated in a standard nCounter assay, and counts are mapped back to tissue location, yielding a spatially resolved digital profile of analyte abundance.
