    In this psychologically and sociologically complex world, science cannot be taught within the four walls of a classroom. STEM educators, I argue must incorporate two other letters namely, SS into the acronym STEM, which makes it SSSTEM, the 'SS' in the beginning indicating Social Sciences. The sociological intricacies involved in the dissemination of science education are rather blatantly ignored by the educational institutions, which is rather appalling. There is a human element in any science, be it quantum physics, biotechnology or environmental science. The nature of epistemology is such that different disciplines are intertwined in a complex labyrinth, and all these disciplines like rivers, flow into the same wide ocean. Knowledge is therefore not a solitary affair, and new knowledge contribution often happens in an interdisplinary manner. After all, the word 'science originates from the Latin word 'scientia' which roughly translates to 'to know.'
