One-Step RT-qPCR Reagent

Whole-Genome Assembly

NRGene announces DeNovoMAX, a new product that aims to empower breeding and maximize agricultural yield as part of the de novo assembly product suite offered by the company. DeNovoMAX is a lean version of the legacy DeNovoMAGIC platform, which has been cited many times in scientific literature due to the high quality of its results. The two assembly products complement one another: DeNovoMAGIC relies on high coverage to provide a full-service genome assembly for all organisms (regardless of complexity), whereas DeNovoMAX maximizes efficiency by using a leaner library setup with minimal compromise in quality. DeNovoMax is designed to meet the applicative genomics needs of professional breeders and will be available for the most popular homozygote species, including wheat, tobacco, tomato, pepper, cotton, corn, soybean, sunflower, and more.

CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Knockout Kits

OriGene offers genome-wide CRISPR gene knockout/knockin kits containing two guide RNA (gRNA) vectors and donor DNA. The selection marker in the donor cassette greatly facilitates the screening process. Two types of CRISPR knockout kits are offered: homology-based or nonhomology based. OriGene's HDR-mediated knockout kit is its first-generation gene knockout kit, and uses homology-directed repair (HDR). DNA/RNA Shield from Zymo Research is a preservation solution that provides safe containment and maintains the integrity of collected samples for later downstream molecular analysis. This preservative is available for custom filling or in an assortment of collection devices that enable swab collection of saliva, blood, feces, soil, sludge, and wastewater samples. Specimens collected into the preservative can be stored at ambient temperature for many weeks. In addition, pathogen inactivation allows the samples to be safely transported and shipped. By eliminating the need to remove the reagent for DNA/RNA purification, the process has been streamlined even further, making the collected samples amenable to most commercially available manual or automated workflows.
