Summary

In science news worldwide, the United States and other nations submitted their new goals of cutting emissions to the Paris climate agreement. The National Institutes of Health announces a large study repurposing existing drugs for patients with mild COVID-19 symptoms who don't need hospitalization. The European Commission proposes new strict rules for artificial intelligence. A report from the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy shows gene and cell therapy clinical trials took off in the past few years.
